A sensational half-time turn around away to Wingate and Finchley secured Bognor Regis their first league win of the season.
Goalless at half-time, a three-goal, 15-minute salvo straight after the restart from Bognor Regis put the game to bed with plenty of time remaining, before adding a fourth and fifth for good measure.
The first half was, surprisingly, a well-balanced affair.
James Ewington and Dan Smith came closest to opening the scoring for the hosts and visitors, respectively, but the sides went in without a goal between them at the break.
That had all changed within 15 minutes of the second half.
A low free-kick from Tommy Leigh and well-taken goals from Dan Smith and Tyrell Mitford after flowing passing moves built Wingate a mountain they would always struggle to climb, despite half an hour remaining.
Smith then added to the rout from close range with 21 minutes left on the clock.
But the fifth, and pick of the bunch, was Jimmy Muitt's sensational solo effort from distance that confirmed all three points travelled with his side back down the A3, as if anyone was still left in any doubt.
