Non League Day & The FA Cup

Non-League Day, the campaign to promote semi-professional and amateur football, takes place on Saturday 10th October. With no Premier league or Championship sides in action, fans across the country are being urged to get out and support their local non-league side. With Wingate & Finchley playing at home in a huge Emirates FA Cup Third Qualifying Round game against Conference South's Weston-Super-Mare, there is more reason than ever to get behind The Blues. To celebrate what should be a fantastic occasion, the club will be giving away a copy of the eagerly awaited Football Manager 2016. All U16's attending the match will be entered into a raffle to be drawn shortly after kick-off. Five random entries will be selected and invited to take part in a half-time penalty shoot-out on the main pitch. The winner will receive a copy of Football Manager 2016 and have their photo displayed on club Social Media channels. The Club have also invited local side Omonia Youth U11's to celebrate the day. They will play a match on the pitch before the main event, and then will give both Wingate & Finchley and Weston Super Mare a guard of honour as the teams walk out to begin the FA Cup encounter. With a week still remaining, the Club are inviting further local schools and groups to help celebrate Non-League Day 2015 and to make it as memorable as possible.
