Three selected for Maccabi Games

Wingate and Finchley shall once again be well represented for the European Maccabi Games with three players from the Under 21 squad selected for the Great Britain side. Goalkeeper Ross Weinrabe, team captain Joe Sharpe and wing-back Alex Davis will all travel to Germany for the tournament which runs from July 27 to August 5 in Berlin. This shall be the first time Alex Davis will have travelled, however both Weinrabe and Sharpe won bronze medals at the World Games for Under 18 Football in 2013, and Sharpe also won Under 18 Futsal bronze in 2011 at the last European Games in Vienna. We wish all three and the GB squad good luck in their quest for gold!
