Wingate & Finchley Presentation Evening

Wingate & Finchley held their 2016/17 Presentation Evening for the 1st Team after securing a Ryman Premier playoff spot on Saturday evening. In a season in which the side set a club record for points haul (75) and finishing position (5th), three players picked trophies; Shane Gore picked up three of the main awards, Reece Beckles took home two, and Sean Cronin one. In addition, Chairman Aron Sharpe - celebrating his tenth year in charge - presented Peter Rebak with a framed collage of the stadium renaming ceremony held back in August in honour of club founder Maurice Rebak. The season is of course not over yet, with a Playoff Semi-Final to look forward to away at Bognor Regis Town on Thursday night. The award winners in full were: Top goalscorer - Reece Beckles Player of the season - Shane Gore Directors' Player of the season - Sean Cronin Young Player of the year - Reece Beckles Players' player of the season - Shane Gore Supporters' player of the season - Shane Gore Club Person of the year - Mark Felstein
